DAI Inside Scoop: Paradisus Palma opened in January 2006.
We spent a week there in May 2007 and thought this was one of the most amazing all inclusive resorts ever. They create atmosphere around every turn. Both day and night they are setting the mood with music/speakers throughout the gardens. At night glowing indirect lights, speakers in the gardens and incense set a romantic mood.
Our favorite restaurant was Vento. We loved the Belini Bar (maybe a little too much!) We did not have royal service and were able to make reservations for the resturants we wanted daily. At peak times I can see how having the royal service would be a plus.
Paradisus Palma Real had entertainment (professional dancers and live music) and activities that were far better than many of the all inclusive resorts we where have stayed. Activities on the top of our list were Merengue & Bachata dance lessons, Yoga, Wine tasting, Sushi Making. We should have taken the spanish lesson. And we wanted to golf, horseback ride and bike tour but didn't find time.
We loved walking the long Bavaro beach and buying treasures in the market areas.
YHI Spa at Paradisus Palma Real is top notch. There is an extensive jacuzzi hot/cold/theraputic showers wet area for the spa, your admission to this area is included on any day you have a treatment or a day pass can be purchased. The water garden area for massage huts was beautiful and tranquil.
Paradisus Palma Real is one of the best values in Punta Cana. Simply an outstanding resort in all categories.
