A more active vacation awaits you in Ocho Rios, home to the spectacular Dunn's River Falls, one of Jamaica's most popular natural sites. Ocho Rios also has vibrant night life and excellent duty free shopping.
When you fly into Montego Bay (Mobay) make some time to stop by "Scotchies" across from the Riu Hotel. A personal favorite of ours,"Scotchies", arguably, serves the best Jerk Chicken in Jamaica. Scotchies will not win any any awards for decor but the Jerk Chicken is known worldwide among those who savor Jamaican food and jerk chicken in particular. Who knows you may even wind up sitting next to a celebrity or perhaps the Prime Minister, who is rumored to stop by now and then.
Another attraction you don't want to miss is Mystic Mountain. The newest attraction in Jamaica. This Eco-Friendly tour immortalizes the famous Jamaican Bobsled team and takes you on a 3200 ft. bobsled run, thru the jungle. You can also take many walking a zip line tours thru the park...but don't miss the bobsled run. It's a once in a lifetime experience you dont' want to miss.
Weddings
Getting married in Jamaica is a beautiful and easy experience.
Couples can be married just 24 hours after arriving in Jamaica, provided they have applied for a marriage license in advance. Most resorts request you arrive 2 days prior to getting married. Many hotels will assist with the arrangements and offer special packages that include the ceremony, government tax and other expenses.
The requirements for US citizens are birth certificate & divorce papers if applicable.
