DAI Inside Scoop: Riu Montego Bay is the newest Riu in Jamaica.

WOW! We visited the thrid week in November and we were very impressed by the newest RIU in Jamaica. This resort is vibrant and fun. Everything was open and running perfectly. The resort combines some of the pool features normally found in a RIU Palace with the pricing and fun of a classic riu hotel.

The Riu Montego Bayis only about 15 minutes from the airport. If you don't like the hour long bus ride to Negril or Ocho Rios then the Riu Montego Bay is the place for you.

The Riu Montego Bay close to local shopping located right across the street. A personal favorite of ours is "Scotchies", arguably the best Jerk Chicken in Jamaica. Scotchies will not win any any awards for decor but the Jerk Chicken is known worldwide among those who savor Jamaican food and jerk chicken in particular.

The Riu Montego Bay is a great hotel for a family vacation or a business meeting.
